Number 4
The year is 1998, I am young, rebellious and obsessed with tattoos. Before joining the military, I became enthralled with Tarot cards and their meanings. One particular card, The Fool meant a lot to me because I felt like it was where I was in my life.
And so, this tattoo had a lot of meaning to me. In fact, it would become myself proclaimed nickname, one that took a lot of pride in. I still take a lot of pride in ‘The Fool’ from Tarot.
I got the tattoo on the center of my back while I was going to Power School in Florida.
The Fool represents to me someone who follows their own path, even when others think they are just walking off a cliff.
Number 5
I soon moved to South Carolina to complete Prototype schooling, the last leg before going to a sea-duty command. I took a break to visit my friends and family back home…and got another tattoo.
This time I was in Wisconsin when I got the tattoo. Again, I wish I had taken note of the tattoo parlor and the guy's name and taken a picture after it was done…nope. I didn’t do any of that.
I chose a design off their wall, and it was one that I was drawn to. My fifth tattoo was a gargoyle on my left arm. I loved it (still do) because she feels like my protector.
When I got the tattoo in Wisconsin this silly little idea was forming in my head...I had one now in from IL, FL, WI, and I was getting ready to head to SC....what if...
Do you see where I'm headed with this? You're gonna have to stick around to find out!
